A leading food company, manufacturer of cheeses and other dairy products, approached Fapp with a cleaning problem in the manufacturing process. At the point of weighing of salt, milk powder and lactose, as well as at various points of its transport, this material was reduced and dust spread through the ship. Not only can dust be harmful to people, it can also be explosive, as in the case of lactose. Fapp designed, manufactured and installed special AE-9 equipment for ATEX rated areas. The equipment incorporated a safety system of spark arresters and non-return valves. Non-return valves, also called non-return valves, single-ended valves or check valves, completely shut off the flow of circulating air from outside to inside and allow free passage in the opposite direction. The dust collection equipment and the rest of the installation are made of stainless steel in accordance with the regulations of the food sector.
