Aspiration and transport of coffee

Aspiration and transport of coffee

Busi Cafés manufactures and distributes the ARABO coffee capsules worldwide. Busi Cafés needed to solve two problems. First, the transport of the coffee bean to the discharge hopper for its subsequent toasting and grinding process. Second, a problem of coffee shortages in the packaging process in capsules.

For the transportation problem, Fapp designed and developed a suction assembly to raise the load of coffee beans or ground to the level of the discharge hopper, prior to the roasting or grinding process. The product is transported by means of a vacuum cleaner or an annular turbine. Fapp installed an automatic discharge valve and a product level sight on the hopper. The installation of the pipe and the hopper is designed so that the coffee grain is not damaged, fundamental point to guarantee the maximum quality of the coffee.

For the problem of shrinkage, Fapp designed a team to collect the resulting loss during the process of making coffee or tea capsules and the possible paper-aluminum cuttings produced in the packaging of the same. The coffee or tea sucked could be re-used. Thanks to this suction equipment, Busi Cafés experienced savings of 7% that allowed it to pay off the suction equipment in a few months.
